Senior Salesforce Application Engineer

Role overview A senior engineering role working across multiple layers of a web software stack, including front end, back end, APIs, databases, and data pipelines, for an internet services organization. The position requires strong troubleshooting instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to execute at high quality while partnering closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities - Write and review technical documents and participate in code reviews. - Develop code and unit tests, and support build and deployment activities. - Apply agile software techniques, partnering with technical program managers to manage delivery timelines and stakeholder expectations. - Dive deep to diagnose and resolve bugs and production issues. - Partner cross-functionally with engineering and business stakeholders to balance technical and business priorities, building trusted relationships along the way.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. - 7 years of Salesforce engineering experience with Apex, Lightning Web, triggers, and SOQL. - 5 years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Engagement (ExactTarget). - Experience integrating Salesforce with other business applications.

Nice to have - Salesforce Platform Developer II certification. - 8 years of experience designing, building, and troubleshooting web-based software, preferably in Apex or Java. - Demonstrated ownership of large-scale, end-to-end projects in a fast-paced setting. - Strength in data management and performance tuning, including handling large data volumes with SQL or SOQL. - Deep technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), Journey Builder, and Automation Studio. - Experience navigating complex code bases and designing APIs, particularly for omnichannel communication microservices.

Benefits and work setup - US-based full-time position with a base salary range of $139,200-$198,700 plus bonus and benefits; specific range varies by location. - Role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
