Site Reliability Engineer

Role overview As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll operate and improve a global hosting platform built on OpenStack. The work combines production troubleshooting, infrastructure scaling, migration planning and automation, with a senior technical contributor expected to guide incident response and help other engineers grow.

Responsibilities - Operate and scale production compute, networking and storage services across multiple regions. - Help migrate customer workloads to the platform by building migration tools, validation checks and rollback plans. - Replace recurring manual operations with maintainable automation and improve monitoring, alerting and dashboards. - Join the on-call rotation, respond to incidents and lead blameless reviews that drive lasting fixes. - Review designs and code, document systems and runbooks, and mentor other reliability engineers. - Explore AI-assisted operational workflows and internal tooling to help teams resolve issues faster.

Requirements - At least five years in SRE, infrastructure, platform or systems engineering, operating production systems at scale. - Strong Linux fundamentals, including networking, storage, process management and performance troubleshooting. - Proficiency in Python for maintainable, tested automation and tooling. - Experience operating distributed systems and diagnosing problems across service boundaries. - Familiarity with infrastructure as code or configuration management, such as Puppet, Ansible or an equivalent. - Practical on-call and incident-response experience, clear communication, and a record of reducing operational toil.

Nice to have - Experience with OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron or Ceph, or comparable cloud infrastructure. - Familiarity with Docker, Kolla, containerized infrastructure, or software-defined storage at scale. - Exposure to cloud migration programs or applying AI and language-model tools to operations.
