DevOps/Cloud Intern

Role overview A supervised internship focused on the practical side of software delivery and operations. The position centers on improving sandbox continuous integration, packaging services into containers, documenting how things are deployed, and adding basic monitoring and cost visibility. It is a remote, fixed-term opportunity designed for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to modern platform workflows.

Responsibilities - Improve and maintain sandbox CI pipelines so builds and tests run more reliably. - Containerize services and keep the resulting images easy to use and update. - Write clear deployment documentation that other engineers can follow. - Add lightweight monitoring and basic cost checks under guidance from senior engineers. - Practice safe handling of secrets, tokens, and configuration values throughout the work.

Requirements - Comfort with Linux and basic shell commands. - Working familiarity with Git, including branching and pull requests. - Understanding of core networking concepts such as DNS, ports, and HTTP. - Careful habits around credentials, environment variables, and secret storage.

Nice to have - Exposure to infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform. - Awareness of cloud identity and access management concepts. - Experience writing or maintaining incident documentation or runbooks.
