Role overview Contribute to reliable APIs and services in this remote 16-week internship, with mentorship on validation, data modeling, testing, and operational readiness. The work targets production-style endpoints rather than throwaway prototypes.
Responsibilities - Implement validated endpoints with clear request and response contracts. - Model data for clarity and correctness across services. - Write integration tests that exercise real flows. - Improve logs, metrics, and error handling for operability. - Participate in code review and incident-style learning.
Requirements - Working knowledge of Node.js or Python. - HTTP fundamentals including methods, headers, and status codes. - SQL basics for querying and shaping data. - Git workflow fluency. - Basic authentication concepts and common pitfalls.
Nice to have - Transactional thinking and idempotency awareness. - Familiarity with queues or caching concepts. - API documentation habits such as OpenAPI. - Threat modeling basics for endpoint design.
