AI/ML Engineering Intern

Role overview Join a remote applied AI team as a 16-week intern supporting machine learning and AI workflow experiments under engineer supervision. The focus is reproducible evaluation, clear documentation, and responsible data handling rather than pure research output.

Responsibilities - Prepare and curate approved datasets for downstream experiments. - Establish baselines for models and end-to-end AI workflows. - Evaluate quality, cost, and limitations of candidate approaches. - Document findings so engineering partners can act on them. - Practice reproducible experiment habits across iterations.

Requirements - Working knowledge of Python. - Basic statistics and data cleaning experience. - Understanding of train, validation, and test splits. - Comfort with Jupyter and pandas-style data work. - Discipline around reproducibility and version hygiene.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with PyTorch. - Familiarity with retrieval, embeddings, or model evaluation tooling. - Responsible data handling practices, including PII awareness.
