Role overview Set the long-term architecture strategy for a global software platform, with a focus on cloud-native systems and AI-enabled products. Lead a team of architects and work across engineering and product leadership to connect technical decisions with customer needs, business priorities, security, and reliable service delivery.
Responsibilities - Define and guide an AI-focused target architecture for core services and agent-based capabilities. - Establish architecture standards that improve consistency, reuse, and alignment with the technology roadmap. - Guide the design of AI systems, data engineering, enablement, and governance controls. - Lead, grow, and mentor a multidisciplinary architecture team. - Set security and compliance practices, and help teams weigh technical choices against business impact, cost, and return. - Improve reliability and performance while evaluating new technologies, integrations, and open-source solutions.
Requirements - 15+ years in software engineering and architecture, including at least five years leading architecture teams at senior or director level. - A record of designing and deploying distributed, cloud-native platforms, especially on AWS. - Experience building AI-native products and technology. - Ability to gain support for major technical changes from executives and engineering teams. - Experience leading architecture transformations in fast-growing or loosely structured organizations. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; able to assess technology decisions through total cost of ownership and return on investment.
