Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby), Plan: Spec-Driven Development

Role overview A senior backend engineering role focused on Ruby development and the planning area of a developer productivity platform. The team works on tools that help engineers turn ideas into well-structured, spec-driven implementation plans. The position is fully remote and open to candidates based in Poland.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain Ruby-based services that power planning and specification workflows. - Model complex domain concepts such as work items, milestones, and execution plans. - Collaborate with product and design to evolve the planning experience. - Contribute to backend architecture, code quality, and performance. - Support engineers across teams who integrate with planning APIs.

Requirements - Significant professional experience with Ruby, including Ruby on Rails in production. - Track record of building and operating backend services at scale. - Ability to translate product requirements into clean data models and APIs. - Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment. - Strong written communication for design documents and code review.

Nice to have - Background in developer tooling, issue tracking, or project planning products. - Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, and modern Rails patterns.
