Senior Backend Engineer (Python), Agent Developer: Flow Components

Role overview A senior backend engineering role focused on Python and the development of AI-driven agent capabilities within a flow components product area. The work centers on the building blocks that let users compose AI agents, orchestrate their behavior, and integrate them into broader workflows. The position is fully remote and open to candidates based in Canada.

Responsibilities - Design and implement Python services that power agent and flow component functionality. - Collaborate with AI researchers and product engineers to ship agent-driven features. - Build integrations with large language models and orchestration frameworks. - Maintain reliability, evaluation, and observability of agent-based systems. - Contribute to APIs and SDKs that external developers use to build flows.

Requirements - Several years of senior-level backend experience with Python. - Hands-on exposure to AI agents, LLMs, or workflow orchestration systems. - Comfort designing APIs and services consumed by other developers. - Experience operating production systems with attention to latency and cost. - Strong collaboration skills across research, product, and engineering teams.

Nice to have - Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, or tool-using agents. - Familiarity with containerized deployment, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms.
