Remote job
Principal, Commercial and Growth Analytics
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Serve as the senior individual contributor responsible for answering the organization’s most important commercial and growth questions. This is a hands-on strategy and analytics role: you will structure ambiguous problems, develop decision-ready analysis, advise commercial and product leaders, and surface opportunities or risks they may not have identified.
Responsibilities
- Own analysis that connects commercial activity, volume, and revenue, coordinating with revenue-cycle specialists when a question crosses domains. - Translate business challenges into clear problem statements and issue trees that distinguish key drivers from what is easiest to measure. - Advise commercial leadership and collaborate with product leaders on priority analytical questions. - Establish a working rhythm with leaders so analysis stays focused on priorities and trade-offs are visible. - Lead analytical engagements from framing through executive-ready recommendations, using AI agents to support the work and applying independent judgment to validate results. - Help business owners make informed decisions and monitor whether those decisions achieve their intended outcomes. - Proactively raise material findings and contribute reusable methods, definitions, and analysis to shared team resources.
Requirements
- Typically 10 or more years of experience at director level or equivalent in commercial strategy, growth analytics, consulting, or strategic finance. - A record of personally producing analysis that informed decisions affecting business growth. - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, economics, or business field, or equivalent practical experience. - Willingness and ability to build analyses directly; the role is primarily hands-on rather than people management. - Ability to work through complex commercial questions, communicate findings to executives, and exercise sound judgment over analytical outputs.
Nice to have
- MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline. - Familiarity with commercial strategy in a complex reimbursement environment, including unit economics, field investment, coverage, or pricing decisions.
Benefits and work setup
The role is listed as remote. The budgeted salary range is $204,031–$228,814 USD. The position involves extended computer work and frequent communication by phone and video; reasonable accommodations may be available.
