Staff Data Engineer

Role overview A staff-level role responsible for reviewing and signing off on data engineering artifacts drafted by an AI agent platform for enterprise customers. The position leans heavily on judgment: deciding edge cases, setting standards, and putting a senior name on the work that ships into customer data environments.

Responsibilities - Review and sign off on agent-drafted data engineering artifacts within your domain. - Pair with customer senior engineers on the design decisions that carry the most risk. - Author the house-style rules and patterns the agents follow across assigned accounts. - Contribute reusable data patterns back to the shared platform. - Mentor other senior engineers on the craft of supervising AI-generated work.

Requirements - 10+ years building production data systems at meaningful scale. - A track record of pipelines and platforms that operated reliably under real load. - Strong opinions about reviewability, audit trails, and reversibility in data work. - A preference for reviewing twenty pull requests well over writing one yourself.
