Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes, SaaS)

Role overview A senior DevOps leadership role focused on operating and evolving multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure that runs across multiple global regions. The position combines hands-on technical depth with ownership of the infrastructure roadmap, enabling engineering teams to ship safely and frequently.

Responsibilities - Operate, scale, and harden production infrastructure built on Kubernetes and AWS across a multi-region, multi-tenant environment. - Drive the infrastructure roadmap, making architectural decisions that maximise engineering impact and long-term reliability. - Partner closely with application engineers to ensure services deploy safely and run smoothly at scale. - Build and refine the automation, CI/CD pipelines, and release practices that enable multiple production deployments per day. - Lead security initiatives across networking, identity, data protection, and incident detection and response. - Support colleagues across product, data, design, and go-to-market teams by delivering reliable, well-documented platform capabilities.

Requirements - Deep practical experience with AWS, including VPC networking and security, IAM, EC2, RDS for Postgres, S3, and EKS. - Proven track record running production Kubernetes workloads and managing clusters at scale. - Strong Terraform experience for automating infrastructure provisioning and management. - Hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for frequent, safe releases. - Background supporting a hosted, multi-tenant SaaS product through significant growth. - Pragmatic mindset that values iteration, ownership, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Nice to have - Familiarity with .NET and C# application stacks. - Experience working in agile teams focused on early, continuous delivery of value. - Background building observability and alerting into distributed systems.
