Backend Developer

Role overview Build and maintain backend services for a legal technology product, including APIs and databases that support complex data processing and AI integrations. The work spans service design, implementation, security, and performance, in collaboration with frontend and AI colleagues.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services. - Design database schemas and write efficient queries. - Implement authentication and authorization features. - Improve service performance and scalability. - Write tests and technical documentation. - Coordinate with frontend and AI teams on product integrations.

Requirements - At least one year of backend development experience. - Proficiency in Node.js or Python. - Experience with SQL databases; PostgreSQL is preferred. - Understanding of REST API design, authentication, and security practices. - Familiarity with Git and version control.

Nice to have - Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS or GCP. - Familiarity with Docker, containerization, or microservice architectures. - Exposure to message queues such as Redis or Kafka.
