Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own and improve key parts of a security operations platform that collects telemetry across endpoints, networks, cloud workloads, and SaaS. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on detection, incident response, infrastructure protection, vulnerability management, data loss prevention, and automation; governance and compliance are handled by a separate function.
Responsibilities - Build and tune SIEM detections and custom models, investigate alerts and incidents, and drive response and follow-up improvements. - Secure AWS and Kubernetes environments, including workload protection, identity and access management, runtime defense, and configuration standards. - Maintain and harden endpoint security across macOS, Windows, and Linux. - Operate and extend data loss prevention coverage across removable media, email, and SaaS, with attention to false positives. - Automate security operations and response workflows, including existing AI-enabled agents and pipelines. - Find infrastructure vulnerabilities through scanning, configuration reviews, and targeted penetration testing, then drive remediation to completion.
Requirements - At least 5 years in hands-on security engineering or security operations, including production detection and incident work. - Experience engineering detections on a modern SIEM; Elastic Security is preferred, with comparable platforms accepted. - Practical hardening and investigation experience across Linux, macOS, and Windows. - Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and packet analysis. - Hands-on experience securing production AWS and Kubernetes workloads. - Experience building or operating LLM-powered agents, pipelines, or security automation. - A practical offensive security or infrastructure hardening certification, self-directed ownership, and strong spoken and written English.
Nice to have
Additional security, cloud, or incident response certifications are an advantage; practical experience carries more weight than certification.
