Senior Software Engineer - Javascript- AD TECH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Remote- US only)

Role overview

This is a senior, fully remote engineering role (US-based) focused on header bidding and programmatic monetization for large publishing sites. The engineer will serve as the in-house expert on Prebid.js and Prebid Server, owning wrapper architecture end-to-end while writing production JavaScript and TypeScript that runs at massive scale. A core part of the mission is maximizing publisher revenue without compromising on-page performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a senior hands-on developer, shipping production JavaScript/TypeScript daily, reviewing peer pull requests, and partnering across the engineering team to uphold code quality. - Act as the subject-matter expert on Prebid.js and Prebid Server, advising on wrapper architecture, bid adapters, identity modules, consent, floors, and analytics. - Track upstream Prebid releases and OpenRTB specification changes, translating them into concrete platform upgrades and recommendations. - Own the header bidding wrapper end-to-end, including architecture decisions, release cadence, feature evaluation, and key design choices. - Work daily with Google Ad Manager (GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, dynamic allocation) and the IMA SDK. - Maintain a high quality bar for client-side monetization scripts and protect Core Web Vitals (INP, LCP, CLS), memory usage, script execution time, and network overhead across thousands of sites. - Take ownership of deployed solutions, ensuring reliability, stability, and rapid response to critical incidents.

Requirements

- 4+ years of JavaScript development experience with substantial TypeScript usage. - Deep, hands-on expertise with Prebid.js, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and modules for identity, consent, floors, and analytics. - Working knowledge of Prebid Server, including stored requests, s2s routing, and server-side adapter configuration. - Strong familiarity with Google Ad Manager capabilities such as GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, and dynamic allocation. - Broad ad tech fluency across OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity and EID solutions, consent frameworks (TCF/GPP), Amazon TAM/APS, and video (IMA SDK/VAST). - Experience deploying and operating high-throughput services on Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery). - Solid asynchronous programming skills, strong technical documentation habits, and comfort working in a distributed team.

- Prior contributions to the open-source Prebid.js or Prebid Server repositories. - Background optimizing client-side web performance at very large scale.
