Role overview
This is a hands-on lead engineering role centered on building AI-native applications powered by agentic frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph. The position blends full-stack delivery with technical leadership, partnering directly with client teams to ship production-grade generative AI software. Engineers in this role set the standard for engineering practice while staying close to the code themselves.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients through pairing, code review, and shared development on LangChain and LangGraph based applications - Lead end-to-end delivery spanning backend services and modern web interfaces - Apply test-driven development and continuous refactoring to keep codebases reliable, maintainable, and easy to evolve - Shape architecture decisions around scalability, observability, and performance for AI-powered systems - Coach and mentor developers through pairing, code review, and modeling a healthy engineering culture - Experiment with emerging patterns in the generative AI space and feed lessons learned back into internal practices
Requirements
- Hands-on full-stack engineering background with a track record of shipping software in collaborative, agile settings - Practical experience with LangChain or comparable agentic frameworks, plus an understanding of how to architect AI-native systems responsibly - Prior experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers at varying levels - Strong commitment to code quality, with a belief that TDD and pairing produce better systems and stronger teams - Pragmatic fluency across multiple languages and frameworks such as Python, Node, Java, React, or Next.js - Comfort navigating complex client organizations and translating technical risk into language any stakeholder can understand
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of $175,000 to $250,000 - Role may require roughly three days per week onsite in a client office and up to 30% travel within the United States - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
