Remote job
Fullstack Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A fullstack engineering role focused on the end-to-end customer journey across a global application platform built around lightweight virtual machines running on distributed hardware. The position owns the seams between product verticals, including the path from first sign-up through deployment, usage, billing, and ongoing administration. Work is sourced from multiple engineering teams and go-to-market functions, so versatility and comfort with unfamiliar problem spaces are central to the role.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine the adoption journey from initial sign-up through first deploy and continued use of the platform - Own product surfaces that span multiple verticals, including usage-to-invoice flows and account administration - Partner with vertical owners to identify and repair quiet experience breaks that cross team boundaries - Contribute to a platform that turns container images into short-lived virtual machines backed by a global anycast network - Adapt quickly to new problem areas as priorities shift across the engineering organization - Help shape the experience of running workloads designed for, or operated by, software agents
Requirements
- Comfort working across a broad stack rather than specializing in one product vertical - Ability to navigate unfamiliar problem spaces and ship outcomes without extensive onboarding - Strong product instincts for end-to-end user journeys and the places they tend to break - Experience building and operating production web applications - Comfort with remote, asynchronous collaboration
Nice to have
- Background in distributed systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering - Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or micro-VM technologies - Experience designing usage metering, billing flows, or admin tooling
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote role - Standardized compensation of $190,000 USD with equity grants featuring a long exercise window - Flexible vacation policy that includes a minimum baseline - Hardware and phone allowances - Hiring process centered on paid work-sample challenges rather than resume screens or panel interviews
