Role overview A remote Networking Engineer role focused on the proxy and routing database powering a global platform for agent workloads and customer applications. The position addresses the unique pressures of long-lived stateful sessions alongside traditional request/response traffic, with most of the work happening in Rust for networking code and Go for orchestration.
Responsibilities - Build and improve a high-performance proxy and routing database - Address networking challenges introduced by fast-churning agent workloads - Handle long, stateful sessions coexisting with ordinary request/response traffic - Optimize for traffic bursts that arrive in non-human patterns - Make the platform faster and more reliable for both agent and traditional customer workloads - Work across systems-level networking and load balancer infrastructure
Requirements - Strong systems programming background, ideally with experience in Rust and Go - Deep understanding of networking, proxies, and load balancers - Familiarity with stateful session handling and request/response traffic patterns - Experience with high-scale, distributed infrastructure - Comfort working across both networking and orchestration codebases
