Role overview A senior field engineering role partnering with enterprise customers to evaluate, adopt, and expand use of a modern data transformation platform. The position serves as a trusted technical advisor, guiding architecture, security, governance, and deployment decisions while aligning technical outcomes with business goals across the full customer lifecycle.
Responsibilities - Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers, translating requirements into measurable success criteria - Design scalable data transformation and analytics architectures on cloud warehouse and lakehouse platforms - Partner with sales teams to articulate the technical and business value of the platform - Drive customer evaluations, including trials and proof-of-value engagements - Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners, data leaders, and executive stakeholders - Relay field insights to product and engineering teams to help shape roadmap decisions - Cultivate relationships with technology and consulting partners across the modern data ecosystem - Contribute reusable best practices and thought leadership to the broader field engineering community
Requirements - 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role within data, analytics, or BI - Strong technical foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling - Solid grasp of modern cloud data warehouse, lakehouse, and analytics architectures - Ability to translate between technical details and business outcomes - Comfort engaging with both hands-on practitioners and executive stakeholders
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses and lakehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery - Familiarity with modern data integration and orchestration tools - Experience using AI-assisted productivity tooling - Background working with hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
