Senior Devops Engineer - Core

Role overview A senior DevOps role on a product engineering platform team, designing, implementing, and automating large-scale distributed systems that underpin a fast-moving cloud platform. The work blends site reliability, infrastructure engineering, and developer enablement to drive higher availability, scalability, and lower mean time to detect across production.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and automate large-scale distributed systems that power the core platform. - Build tools and automation that improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency. - Partner with engineering teams to ship high-quality software quickly in a fast-paced environment. - Monitor production and development environments to drive preventive measures and a seamless customer experience. - Work with delivery teams on software improvements that raise availability and lower mean time to detect. - Participate in an on-call rotation on an 8-hour shift, one week every three to four weeks.

Requirements - Seven or more years of public cloud experience on GCP or AWS. - Seven or more years of private cloud experience on OpenStack or VMware ESXi. - Seven or more years of Linux experience on CentOS or Ubuntu. - Seven or more years of networking experience. - Container orchestration using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and Docker. - Hands-on experience with GitLab, ArgoCD, and modern CI/CD methodologies. - Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and scripting in Python or similar languages. - Configuration management using Ansible. - Observability tooling including Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager, and Grafana. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience designing large-scale distributed systems. - Familiarity with incident management, SRE best practices, and DevOps or DevSecOps methodologies. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have - Background in telco, edge cloud, or large enterprise infrastructure environments. - Contributions to upstream or open-source projects. - Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
