Python Developer

Role overview A remote-first API and AI security company is hiring an experienced Python Developer to build and maintain its security platform. The role is based in Ireland (Finland may also work), works fully remote, and suits someone who enjoys cross-functional collaboration, mentoring junior developers, and staying current with backend and cloud technologies. The team operates as a remote-first organization with employees distributed across Ireland, Finland, and the U.S.

Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based applications - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code - Participate in design, code review, and testing activities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to add new features and improve existing ones - Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability - Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - Three or more years of experience in Python development - Strong grasp of software development best practices, design patterns, and engineering principles - Hands-on experience with Flask, Django, or other Python web frameworks - Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases - Working knowledge of AWS - Familiarity with Git or other version control systems - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
