Senior Backend Engineer

Role overview Own important parts of a payment and payout platform, building backend services that move funds for business customers. The role focuses on dependable, secure APIs and transaction flows that can handle high volumes while supporting partner integrations and reconciliation.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and scale Node.js services and REST APIs for payments and payouts. - Model transaction data and tune MongoDB queries for high-volume workloads. - Protect money movement through reliable, secure, idempotent processing. - Integrate with banking and payment-network partners, including reconciliation workflows. - Write maintainable, well-tested code and support the growth of junior engineers.

Requirements - At least four years building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript. - Strong experience with MongoDB or another database used at scale. - Understanding of payment systems, webhooks, and asynchronous processing. - Care for security, observability, and clean software architecture.
