Role overview A remote-first, full-time platform role focused on the data, connectivity, and infrastructure layers that keep products secure, responsive, and understandable in production. The engineer will shape the dependable foundations behind systems used at scale, working across availability, performance, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities - Design and operate database, networking, and cloud infrastructure layers supporting production workloads - Improve availability, performance, backup, and recovery posture across critical systems - Partner with delivery teams on architecture decisions and production readiness - Make infrastructure decisions observable and repeatable through tooling and documentation - Strengthen troubleshooting, security fundamentals, and incident response practices
Requirements - Hands-on experience in database administration, networking, or cloud infrastructure - Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and security fundamentals - Comfort with Linux, automation, and incident-oriented thinking - A bias for clear documentation and operational ownership
Nice to have - Background spanning more than one of the listed disciplines (databases, networking, infrastructure) - Experience improving backup and disaster recovery processes
