Role overview
A manufacturing solutions provider is hiring a Strategic Program Manager to guide enterprise and startup customers from new product development through new product introduction and into mass production. The role blends technical engineering expertise with program management, acting as a trusted advisor on risk, quality, logistics, and operations. You will partner cross-functionally with sales, solutions engineering, and fulfillment teams to ensure products launch on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer advocate, building relationships that drive long-term loyalty - Collaborate across pre- and post-sale teams to ensure on-time delivery while proactively managing risks and changes - Apply engineering and manufacturing expertise to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and keep projects on track - Act as the program subject matter expert, providing guidance to both customers and internal teams - Monitor and report program milestones, adjusting timelines and deliverables to meet expectations - Identify process improvements and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction - Facilitate regular status meetings with customers and internal teams to resolve blockers proactively - Contribute to the quality management system as part of standard program operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering - 5+ years of program or project management experience in fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environments - Hands-on experience with new product development, new product introduction, and high-volume manufacturing facilities - Expertise in one or more manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, or assembly - Customer-facing experience leading complex, consultative technical engagements - Strong program management, risk management, and time management skills with proficiency in standard PM tools
