Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview

A remote, US-only, full-time forward-deployed engineering position focused on an embedded care SDK for consumer health applications. The engineer acts as the primary technical point of contact for partner teams, guiding integrations, resolving complex SDK issues in production environments, and channeling field insights back into the core product roadmap. The work blends full-stack coding with solutions-engineering responsibilities across web and mobile surfaces.

Responsibilities

- Lead partner integrations end to end, including technical scoping, implementation guidance, and go-live support - Debug, patch, and extend SDK code running inside partner iOS, Android, and web applications - Build and maintain reference implementations and sample apps using Next.js, TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL - Configure and troubleshoot platform components such as webhooks and OAuth 2.0 flows - Translate recurring field problems into actionable product feedback for the core engineering team - Context-switch across multiple active partner engagements while keeping timelines and quality on track

Requirements

- Prior experience in a customer-facing, solutions, or deployment engineering role - Strong full-stack fundamentals with the ability to read, debug, and ship production code in TypeScript and React/Next.js - Working knowledge of SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android integration scenarios - Comfort with REST and GraphQL API design as well as webhook-based architectures - Ability to manage several parallel partner integrations in a fast-moving environment - Interest in healthcare software and the surrounding regulatory landscape, including HIPAA across all 50 states
