Security Engineer

Role overview Protect a digital banking platform, its customer data, and supporting infrastructure from security threats. The role combines security engineering, assessment and incident response with maintaining compliance in a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain security controls, policies, and tools such as SIEM, intrusion detection and prevention, and web application firewalls. - Assess systems through vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and secure code reviews, including static and dynamic analysis. - Monitor security events, investigate potential breaches, and coordinate incident response and forensic work. - Manage identity and access systems and work with developers to strengthen secure coding practices. - Support compliance with security frameworks and banking standards, and maintain related documentation and reports. - Deliver security awareness training and keep practices current with emerging threats.

Requirements - At least three years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field. - Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and OWASP, along with experience using security assessment tools. - Familiarity with cloud security practices on AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, application security, and secure coding. - Experience responding to security incidents and conducting forensic investigations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
