Cloud Architect

Role overview Design and implement cloud infrastructure for a digital banking platform, with a focus on security, scale, availability, and regulatory compliance. You’ll set technical direction, lead migration and modernization work, and guide engineering teams in building and operating dependable cloud services.

Responsibilities - Design cloud infrastructure and develop strategy, including migration plans. - Assess cloud services and technologies and recommend suitable options. - Architect systems for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery. - Build security, governance, and compliance requirements into cloud designs. - Lead migration and modernization initiatives and help optimize cloud costs. - Produce architecture diagrams and technical documentation, and provide guidance to engineering teams. - Work with DevOps, security, and engineering colleagues to deliver and maintain the platform.

Requirements - At least five years of experience in cloud architecture or a related role. - Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Understanding of cloud architecture patterns, infrastructure as code, and services such as microservices, containers, or serverless computing. - Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills. - Cloud architecture certification is listed as a requirement.

Nice to have - Experience in banking or fintech, including familiarity with financial regulations. - Experience with multi-cloud architecture. - Knowledge of Islamic banking compliance.
