Staff Full Stack Engineer - Partnerships Engineering

Role overview

A Staff Full Stack Engineer position focused on partnerships engineering, owning the systems that integrate external operating companies and partner organizations into a broader loyalty and identity ecosystem. The scope spans partner onboarding, account linking, identity provider integrations, and the shared platform layer that lets multiple product lines plug into consistent loyalty experiences. It is a hands-on technical leadership role combining architecture, full stack delivery, cross-team mentorship, and direct engagement with external technical counterparts.

Responsibilities

- Lead technical design and delivery of partner onboarding systems, integration platforms, and APIs that connect external partners into the loyalty ecosystem. - Architect an account linking platform that lets users seamlessly connect external partner accounts to a unified identity. - Drive identity provider integrations, ensuring partners connect reliably and securely at scale. - Build loyalty integration systems that enable partners to participate in points, credits, and tier reward mechanics without requiring bespoke one-off integrations. - Establish engineering patterns, review code, and ensure systems are observable, testable, and maintainable. - Align shared APIs, contracts, and integration patterns with adjacent engineering teams across identity, loyalty, and SDK surfaces. - Engage directly with external partner engineering teams to translate integration requirements into scalable platform solutions. - Improve developer experience through tooling, documentation, and self-service capabilities that shorten partner integration timelines. - Mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, and culture-building activities.

Requirements

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at a staff or equivalent technical leadership level. - Strong full stack background, comfortable across backend services, APIs, and frontend tooling. - Deep experience designing integration platforms, partner APIs, or developer-facing systems. - Proven hands-on expertise with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and identity provider integrations. - Track record of architecting distributed systems that operate reliably at scale. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align engineering, product, and external stakeholders. - Experience working in multi-tenant or multi-business-unit environments.

Nice to have

- Experience with Go and TypeScript/React. - Background in loyalty, rewards, or payments platforms. - Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka. - Experience building account linking or federation systems. - Prior work in sportsbook, fintech, or other regulated industries.

Benefits and work setup

- Base salary range of $144,000 to $237,000 USD, with final compensation determined by factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. - Interview and onboarding may include in-person components or a multi-day cultural immersion program for full-time hires, with specific travel and participation details confirmed based on role and location.
