Software Engineering Manager (REMOTE)

Role overview Remote Engineering Manager position overseeing teams that build and scale the mobile application unifying free-to-play games, live events, ecommerce, and emerging product experiences. The role is both technical and managerial, focused on shipping high-quality software for millions of monthly active users while developing a high-performing engineering organization. The right candidate is comfortable making fast decisions, setting direction, and adapting as priorities shift.

Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership within the engineering vertical and build teams that consistently deliver high-quality software - Lead scrum ceremonies, clarify requirements, negotiate trade-offs, and unblock delivery - Collaborate with product and design partners to define an ambitious but realistic roadmap and communicate it to executives and stakeholders - Drive predictable execution through clear objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement of engineering practices and systems - Deliver clear status updates, metrics, and risk reporting to leadership - Recruit, interview, and onboard a diverse pipeline of engineering talent

Requirements - 1+ years managing engineers and 4+ years building highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems - Knowledge of a broad range of design patterns and the ability to break down architecture across multiple teams - Strong project scoping and prioritization skills, with comfort negotiating scope and timing with product management - Excellent written and verbal communication when explaining technical topics to engineers, technical leaders, and non-technical audiences - Solid grasp of Agile delivery and Scrum methodology, paired with strong analytical and report-writing skills - Team-first mindset, cross-functional collaboration skills, and resilience in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly

Nice to have - Start-up experience - Background in mobile software engineering - Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform and/or Compose Multiplatform

Benefits and work setup - Remote role with occasional travel for team gatherings, conferences, or in-person collaboration - Full-time compensation package including base, bonus, and benefits; listed range is roughly $144,000 to $235,000 USD, subject to geographic zone
