About this role
Role overview This role is for a frontend engineer who will build high-performance, responsive ad units and Shopify integrations that handle millions of impressions across desktop and mobile. The work spans promotional overlays, embedded widgets, and native Shopify app experiences, balancing creative freedom with a strong performance bar.
Responsibilities - Build interactive ad unit templates such as scratch cards, carousels, and post-purchase offers, optimized for mobile and desktop conversion - Develop iframe-based components with reliable cross-origin communication - Create A/B testable UI variations wired into real-time analytics - Ship custom Shopify post-purchase extensions, checkout UI, and embedded order-status or thank-you widgets - Maintain and extend existing Shopify apps and a merchant-facing admin dashboard for configuration - Drive performance work including Lighthouse optimization, bundle size reduction, lazy loading, image optimization, and rendering profiling
Requirements - 4+ years of frontend development experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript - Strong CSS skills across responsive design, animations, and cross-browser compatibility - Hands-on performance optimization experience including Core Web Vitals and bundle analysis - Shopify app development experience using Polaris, Liquid, and App Bridge - Understanding of iframe communication, SDK development, or widget embedding patterns
Nice to have - Familiarity with e-commerce UI/UX patterns and conversion optimization - Mobile-first development experience with touch interactions - Experience working with A/B testing frameworks
