Role overview
This senior product leadership role owns the strategy and execution for a direct-to-consumer product surface in the life insurance industry. The position leads a team of product managers and partners closely with engineering, design, data science, and marketing to deliver a digital experience spanning acquisition, education, application, onboarding, and purchase.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, experimentation, and continuous improvement - Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap, translating business goals into clear, sequenced bets - Drive measurable improvements to the end-to-end consumer experience, from top-of-funnel acquisition through application, onboarding, and purchase - Identify new market opportunities, including adjacent insurance product categories, and develop go-to-market strategies to capture them - Champion rapid experimentation by defining hypotheses, designing tests, and applying results with rigor and speed - Serve as the senior product voice in cross-functional forums, building alignment with engineering, design, data science, marketing, and actuarial partners, and communicating strategy and results to executive leadership
Requirements
- 12+ years of product management experience at high-growth technology companies building consumer products at scale - 5+ years managing and developing product managers, including hiring, onboarding, and scaling PM organizations - Proficiency in self-serve analytics using SQL and tools such as Amplitude, with comfort partnering with data science on complex analysis - Proven ability to transform strategic ideas into actionable roadmaps and iterative, feedback-driven product improvements - Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority across functions and levels - Track record of solving hard customer problems and translating them into durable business growth
Benefits and work setup
