Role overview
A remote Senior Technical Program Manager position focused on leading cross-functional programs in a fast-moving technology environment. The role partners closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and Operations to take complex initiatives from ambiguous problem statements through to launched outcomes, with particular emphasis on systems that involve external partners and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of cross-functional programs, from scoping and planning through launch and post-launch follow-through. - Drive high-impact initiatives independently, owning the outcome rather than just the plan. - Translate goals into clear roadmaps with defined milestones, owners, and decision points across multiple teams and external partners. - Identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early, surface them transparently, and drive timely decisions. - Maintain program visibility through concise written updates for stakeholders at all levels. - Engage with technical details around architecture, APIs, integrations, and data flows to ask informed questions and make sound tradeoffs. - Run retrospectives after launches and feed learnings back into planning and execution practices.
Requirements
- Five or more years of technical program management (or equivalent) experience at a technology company. - A track record of delivering complex programs that span multiple engineering teams. - Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with engineers on system design, APIs, and integrations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with senior stakeholders. - Comfort operating in ambiguity with the judgment to prioritize and adjust course quickly. - A data-driven approach: defining success metrics up front and measuring against them.
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry. - Experience with partner or third-party integrations. - Experience using AI tools to accelerate planning, reporting, and execution.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position within the United States. - US base salary range of $123,000 to $217,000, depending on role level and location, with additional compensation, equity, and benefits offered separately.
