Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead and support engineers working across software projects, helping teams deliver reliably while maintaining quality as the organization grows. The role combines people management and coaching with delivery planning, hiring support, and improvements to team processes.

Responsibilities - Support engineers across projects through regular one-to-ones, feedback, and career conversations. - Work with technical leads and project managers to monitor delivery health and resolve cross-team blockers. - Turn organizational goals into clear team priorities, and report on capacity, risks, and people needs. - Support hiring, onboarding, and performance standards. - Improve engineering routines while protecting focus time and a sustainable pace. - Coach engineers in communication and ownership, and help resolve conflicts constructively.

Requirements - Experience managing software engineers and developing people through coaching. - Understanding of software delivery in client or product settings. - Ability to balance team wellbeing with delivery accountability. - Clear written and verbal communication, including with distributed teams. - Practical conflict-resolution skills and enough technical understanding to build trust with engineers.

Nice to have - Experience in a software house, digital agency, or organization delivering work across multiple clients.
