Data Engineer

Role overview Build dependable data foundations that support analytics, product features, and business decisions. The work spans ingesting data from applications, APIs, and operational systems, shaping it for clear use, and keeping pipelines reliable in production.

Responsibilities - Develop pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. - Model datasets with clear semantics and attention to quality. - Monitor pipeline health, investigate failures, and improve lineage visibility. - Tune performance and operating costs; support reporting and operational dashboards as needed. - Work with backend, product, and analytics colleagues to understand data needs. - Document datasets and transformations, define ownership, and apply appropriate access controls to sensitive data.

Requirements - Strong SQL skills and experience delivering production data pipelines. - Python or equivalent experience for data processing. - Understanding of data modeling and common data quality issues. - Experience with cloud data services or data warehouses. - Ability to debug operational problems and work with non-data teams. - Careful handling of privacy and access permissions.

Nice to have Experience with dbt, Airflow or Prefect, BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, or ELT approaches.
