Android Engineer

Role overview

Build and maintain native Android applications designed to behave reliably across a wide range of devices and operating system versions. The role covers implementation, API and storage integration, quality improvements, collaboration with design and backend partners, and support for app releases.

Responsibilities - Develop Android application features in Kotlin using modern platform patterns and responsive interfaces. - Connect apps to backend APIs and local storage. - Handle permissions, background tasks, and Android platform capabilities carefully. - Improve performance, stability, and quality; investigate device and OS-specific issues. - Write tests for important user flows and contribute to code reviews and shared engineering standards. - Work with designers and backend engineers and support Play Store releases.

Requirements - Strong Kotlin skills and experience building Android applications for production. - Familiarity with Jetpack libraries and contemporary Android architecture. - Experience with activities and fragments or Compose-based interfaces. - Experience integrating REST APIs and using performance or crash diagnostics. - Strong debugging skills across devices, attention to usability and accessibility, and effective Git collaboration.

Nice to have

Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines or Flow, Room, push notifications, Play Console, or Android CI.
