Role overview
This is a summer 2027 internship based at a corporate office in Columbia, Missouri, supporting software engineering teams that build technology products for contractors and communities. Interns collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and ship features while learning modern engineering practices in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with assigned teams to design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements across frontend, backend, mobile, or full-stack applications. - Write clean, efficient, well-documented code in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go. - Participate in code reviews, contributing and receiving constructive feedback to raise quality. - Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying root causes and shipping effective fixes. - Apply software engineering best practices including Git version control, Agile methodologies, and testing frameworks. - Document technical designs and processes, and present internship work and learnings to the team at program end.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree at a US-accredited college or university. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing and editing documentation. - Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, plus familiarity with Microsoft Word and Google Docs. - Professional, enthusiastic demeanor aligned with values of integrity, drive, humility, and intelligence, with adaptability to change.
