Product Designer - Visual Craft & AI

Role overview A remote-first product design opportunity focused on visual craft and applied AI for a creative-tools platform. The role centers on shaping interfaces and experiences that help creative professionals discover, generate, and refine assets, with an emphasis on typography, composition, hierarchy, motion, and interaction quality. It suits a designer who may not yet hold a formal product design title but demonstrates strong craft, fresh ideas, and hands-on use of AI to prototype and build.

Responsibilities - Design and prototype product experiences that help creative professionals find, generate, and refine assets for their projects - Apply AI tools and techniques to explore ideas and translate them into working interactive experiences - Sweat typographic, compositional, and interaction details so the final product feels as considered as the work customers make with it - Share unfinished work, test ideas in the wild, and iterate based on user feedback - Collaborate with experienced designers and engineers on problem framing, idea testing, and shipping features into the product - Contribute original ideas and visual approaches that the team has not yet explored

Requirements - A portfolio or body of work that demonstrates exceptional visual craft, with attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, motion, and interaction - Practical experience using AI to build, prototype, or experiment—evidenced by a finished product, prototype, website, or interactive tool built with AI - A genuine interest in the people using the product and a willingness to test assumptions and change direction based on what is learned - Ability to articulate the contribution made, the tools used, and the details that mattered most in past projects - Comfort working alongside senior designers and engineers while still owning real product work

Nice to have - Background from university, freelance, independent projects, or a non-design creative discipline rather than a traditional product design track - Personal creative tools, side projects, or experiments that show independent initiative
