About this role

Role overview Help shape enterprise strategy and turn it into an active portfolio of initiatives, executive decisions, and measurable progress. The role combines original strategic analysis with hands-on leadership of priority work and the planning routines that keep senior leaders aligned; it also offers increasing ownership of strategy and corporate development over time.

Responsibilities - Stay close to business leaders, connect developments across functions, and raise emerging risks and opportunities with a clear point of view. - Develop strategic ideas and turn promising ones into decision memos, proposals, or initiatives. - Run the annual strategy cycle, from gathering themes and defining charters to decision gates and executive planning sessions. - Establish approved initiatives with sponsors, accountable leads, plans, and success measures; monitor dependencies and escalate with recommendations. - Coach initiative leads in problem solving and decision-ready writing, and personally lead one or two high-priority initiatives or special projects each year. - Prepare and run executive operating forums, including monthly business reviews, and follow through on decisions and actions.

Requirements - 10+ years in corporate strategy, strategy operations, consulting, corporate development, or a chief-of-staff role, including at least three years working directly with C-suite leaders. - Experience running cross-functional enterprise planning or strategic initiative processes, including portfolio governance and executive reviews. - Examples of original strategic ideas that influenced a company’s direction, offerings, or operating model. - Strong structured problem solving and financial fluency, including business cases, profit and loss impact, contract economics, and investment analysis. - Excellent executive communication, from detailed narrative memos to concise board materials. - Ability to influence without formal authority and hold senior leaders accountable with discretion and sound judgment. - Disciplined program management, hands-on familiarity with AI productivity tools, data, and dashboards, and a bachelor’s degree. - Willingness to travel about 10%.

Nice to have - Experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, private equity-backed businesses, board or investor reporting, or executive customer programs.

Benefits and work setup - Remote work is generally available when client-site presence is not required; flexible schedule. - Benefits include unlimited paid time off, health plan options, retirement plan matching, dental and vision coverage, paid family leave, education or student loan support, sabbatical leave, and wellness programs. - Posted pay range is $205,000–$278,000, with potential bonus and equity-based compensation subject to eligibility.
