Role overview
A senior technology advisory position focused on driving innovation and transformation for the largest, most strategic client accounts. The role partners with sales, consulting, operations, and service management teams to shape multi-year transformation initiatives, develop reference architectures, and identify opportunities for growth within existing engagements. Success depends on building executive-level relationships and acting as a long-term trusted advisor.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on emerging technologies relevant to their infrastructure landscape and translate business objectives into short- and long-term technology roadmaps. - Design end-to-end reference architectures and solution patterns spanning mainframe, open systems, and cloud environments across multiple providers. - Lead discovery, assessment, and solution development workshops in collaboration with consulting, operations, and product colleagues. - Build executive buy-in for complex solutions through structured presentations and senior-level technical discussions. - Partner with product management to channel client and industry feedback into roadmap enhancements. - Support pursuit, solution, and sales strategies for existing accounts and contribute to add-on business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, plus major industry accreditations or certifications. - 15+ years of experience as an architect in hosting, infrastructure, or cloud environments within consulting or managed services. - Demonstrated track record with large enterprise clients and complex, multi-year engagements. - Deep experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, plus hybrid solutions, and full-stack hosting knowledge covering compute, storage, networking, security, disaster recovery, and DevOps. - Proven ability to manage multi-phase, multi-resource projects to completion while maintaining high client satisfaction. - Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to present to boards, IT teams, and business leaders.
