Role overview

Build and improve data platforms and integrations that support analytics, operational reporting, and new capabilities in a healthcare services environment. The role combines hands-on pipeline engineering with design reviews, data quality, and platform modernization, working with technical peers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable production data.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and improve scalable data pipelines and API integrations. - Turn product and business needs into incremental technical deliverables, contributing directly to design sessions and code reviews. - Implement data quality monitoring and improve the accuracy and reliability of production data. - Review and recommend architectural patterns that fit enterprise platforms and engineering standards. - Use generative AI tools in daily engineering work to accelerate development, troubleshoot systems, and improve solution quality. - Collaborate with distributed technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to long-term platform modernization.

Requirements

- At least six years of hands-on Microsoft SQL development experience. - At least three years working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Azure services including Data Factory, Dataflows, Functions, or Service Bus. - Experience with automated testing, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery, and DevOps practices. - Familiarity with relational, columnar, key-value, and graph data storage, plus Delta Lake and Parquet on ADLS. - Experience building distributed, componentized applications using event-driven patterns. - Strong grounding in software architecture and design patterns, with attention to detail and ownership.

Nice to have

- Experience with healthcare datasets; familiarity with HL7 or EDI is a plus.
