Senior Design Systems Engineer

Role overview This is a senior engineering role focused on building and scaling the design system that powers a supply chain management product suite. The position shapes design infrastructure end to end, from component libraries and design tokens to documentation and standards, ensuring a cohesive experience across web platforms. It sits at the intersection of design and engineering, partnering closely with UX/UI, front-end, and product teams.

Responsibilities - Lead the creation and evolution of the design system, including component libraries, design tokens, and documentation. - Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and product teams to integrate system components and ensure seamless implementation across products. - Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, and best practices that streamline workflows and improve product quality. - Track industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the design system. - Provide training, documentation, and support that fosters a culture of design excellence across the organization.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in design systems engineering or a closely related role, with a track record of building and scaling systems. - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with tools such as Figma and Adobe. - Deep understanding of design principles, UI/UX best practices, and accessibility standards. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge design and engineering teams. - Analytical, pragmatic problem-solving style focused on user-friendly, technically sound solutions.

Nice to have - A portfolio demonstrating systems-level thinking and cross-platform consistency. - Experience standardizing design tokens or theming architectures.
