Senior Product Manager, Applied AI

Role overview Serve as an embedded Product Manager on an Applied AI team that automates internal workflows across business functions. The work is about mapping manual processes, prioritizing high-volume workloads, and shipping AI-driven automations that meaningfully compress cycle times. Success is measured by whether teams get their jobs done more efficiently after the rollout.

Responsibilities - Shadow operators to map workflows end-to-end, identifying handoffs, waits, and the most time-consuming steps - Pick one workload at a time, partnering with the functional leader to decide what ships next and what gets cut - Lock a baseline metric (cycle time or unit measure) with the functional leader before any build - Design and ship automation in collaboration with engineering, using AI tools and agents for analysis and prototyping - Define scope, identify first users, and plan rollout to the rest of the function - Define a clean handoff with a named owner inside the function once the workload is stable - Decide whether to iterate or stop when the metric does not move

Requirements - 4+ years in product management, ideally on internal tools, operations, or workflow products, with at least one AI or automation product in production - Track record of mapping messy processes and removing the steps that cost the most time - Comfort spending early weeks shadowing operational staff and judging success by whether work got faster - Ability to baseline cycle times, define metrics a business leader signs off on, and account for costs like model spend and engineering time - Understanding of what LLMs and agents do well, where they fail, and how evals plus human review fit in - Strong influence skills, including the ability to hold scope when stakeholders want different things

Nice to have - Experience embedding inside a business function and handing off owned workloads - Familiarity with support, finance, or accounting operations at scale

Benefits and work setup Base pay range of $153,935 to $213,000 USD, with the possibility of an annual bonus and equity.
