Frontend Software Engineer (React)

Role overview A startup focused on engineering software for physical-asset industries is hiring a frontend engineer to extend and ship features across its core platform. The work centers on building interactive 3D visualisations, dashboards, and diagram-driven workflows that domain engineers rely on every day, rather than typical consumer-product UI. The engineer will be hands-on with the codebase while also helping set technical direction and shape engineering culture.

Responsibilities - Build and refine user-facing features such as 3D visualisations, dashboards, and step-based engineering workflows - Create efficient, reusable frontend components and shared systems that other engineers can build on - Contribute to design discussions and conduct code reviews to maintain quality and consistency - Write tests, perform QA, and partner with users and the broader team to validate that features deliver real value - Help define frontend strategy and adapt quickly as priorities shift - Mentor peers on best practices, design techniques, and clean coding habits

Requirements - Hands-on experience building production applications with React.js - Strong track record of crafting interactive, high-quality web user experiences - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills - Clear written and verbal English communication - A design-oriented eye and creative flair for visual interfaces - Genuine interest in learning the engineering work behind heavy-industry and energy assets

Nice to have - Comfort working alongside users in a domain-heavy product (energy, resources, or similar technical fields) - Exposure to visualisation libraries such as Three.js or Plotly.js, and state management with Redux Toolkit - Familiarity with Bootstrap, modern JavaScript tooling, or component-driven design systems
