Senior React/Node.js Engineer

Role overview Build and maintain full-stack applications, combining interactive React interfaces with backend services and integrations. The work includes content-led experiences and reusable components, with attention to testing, performance, and experimentation. The position is listed as remote in Bolivia.

Responsibilities - Develop scalable applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. - Build backend services and REST APIs, connect GraphQL or gRPC services, and integrate third-party APIs. - Create reusable interface components, dynamic forms, and server-rendered experiences with Next.js or a similar framework. - Work with a headless CMS to support content-driven features. - Add unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and contribute to CI/CD, code quality, and performance improvements. - Support personalization and A/B testing initiatives, including use of AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements - Four to five or more years of software engineering experience, ideally spanning frontend and backend development. - Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills with hands-on React and Node.js experience. - Experience with Next.js or another server-side rendering framework. - Background developing backend services and REST APIs, plus experience with GraphQL or gRPC and external integrations. - Experience with a headless CMS and building reusable components and dynamic forms. - Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Playwright, or React Testing Library, along with Git, CI/CD, and code-quality tools.

Nice to have - CSS-in-JS, Storybook, Chromatic, accessibility testing, or design-system experience. - Familiarity with Koa, Express, Redis, caching and performance optimization, or mapping integrations. - Experience with personalization and experimentation; specialized AI or large language model expertise is not required.
