Role overview
Build production data systems and AI-powered applications, connecting reliable data pipelines with backend services and LLM-enabled capabilities. The role spans data engineering, architecture, governance, and collaboration with engineering, product, data, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-enabled applications and backend services using Python, TypeScript, and cloud services, including agentic and LLM-based features. - Build end-to-end ingestion and transformation pipelines with Databricks, Apache Spark, DBT, and related tools. - Design data architectures, models, governance practices, and data quality controls for analytics and AI platforms. - Implement pipeline testing and validation, along with monitoring and observability for production systems. - Design APIs, workflows, and distributed services, contributing to decisions about scalability, reliability, and engineering practice. - Work across technical and business teams to bring solutions into production.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems. - Strong Python and SQL skills and experience building cloud-native applications; AWS is preferred. - Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and modern data engineering methods. - Experience developing APIs, backend services, workflows, and distributed systems. - Production experience with AI or LLM-powered products. - Knowledge of data architecture, modeling, governance, data quality, and DBT-based transformation, testing, and validation. - Familiarity with scalable patterns such as Medallion Architecture, Data Vault 2.0, or dimensional modeling, plus clear communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
Experience with AWS Bedrock or related AI orchestration tools, conversational or agent-based systems, Fivetran, Delta Lake, CI/CD, platform observability and governance, or internal developer and low-code tools.
