Senior AI Agent Engineer

Role overview Design and deliver AI agents, copilots, and multi-agent applications for enterprise use. The role covers the full lifecycle, from shaping prompts and tool workflows to integrating business systems and improving deployed solutions. You’ll work with business users to validate prototypes and build secure, observable applications with dependable behavior.

Responsibilities - Develop, test, and deploy agents and copilots using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Python frameworks, and related approved tools. - Create prompts, instructions, tool definitions, routing, and orchestration workflows. - Apply grounding, retrieval, citations, context management, guardrails, and human review where appropriate. - Connect agents to enterprise APIs and tools, build prototypes, and validate them with business users. - Set up automated evaluations and improve quality, latency, reliability, observability, and cost. - Monitor production applications and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements - At least five years of software development experience, including two or more years building generative AI, assistant, or agent applications. - Strong practical experience with generative AI. - Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Copilot Studio. - Strong Python skills and experience integrating REST APIs and cloud services. - Familiarity with Semantic Kernel, MCP, and agent orchestration. - Knowledge of prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). - Experience with evaluation, guardrails, grounding, citations, and context management for agents. - Understanding of production monitoring and continuous improvement, plus experience delivering secure, testable enterprise software. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or a related field.

Nice to have - Advanced experience with Azure AI Foundry or Copilot Studio; multi-agent and orchestration framework experience. - Work with RAG evaluation pipelines, citations, or tool-use controls. - Azure AI Engineer or related certification.
