Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, Cyber

Role overview Translate complex security needs into AI-enabled capabilities that work in real customer environments. This senior, hands-on role spans discovery, architecture, software development, deployment, evaluation, and operational handover, with substantial autonomy and direct engagement with customer teams.

Responsibilities - Lead technical discovery with security and engineering stakeholders, then define the problem, baseline, architecture, scope, and acceptance criteria. - Build and debug production integrations connecting models, APIs, telemetry, and security systems for detection, investigation, or remediation workflows. - Deploy and troubleshoot solutions in cloud or customer-hosted environments, including access, delivery pipelines, monitoring, and integrations. - Evaluate AI-enabled workflows for security risks and realistic failure modes; implement controls for data, permissions, secrets, auditability, and consequential actions. - Explain tradeoffs and evidence to technical and nontechnical audiences, surface risks early, and recommend practical alternatives. - Document, validate, and hand over maintainable capabilities; turn lessons into reusable patterns and guidance.

Requirements - Deep practical blue-team cybersecurity experience in detection, investigation, response, or defensive engineering, with clear examples of personally owned outcomes. - Strong software engineering ability in production code, integrations, debugging, testing, and maintainable system design. - Track record of taking complex technical work from problem definition through deployment, validation, and operational handover. - Practical AI fluency, including use of coding tools and judgment about model evaluation, failure modes, and human review. - Experience deploying and troubleshooting software, with working knowledge of identity and access, APIs, delivery pipelines, and production monitoring. - Clear customer communication, independent technical judgment, and ownership of verification, documentation, and adoption.

Nice to have - Application or AI agent security, security developer tools, red-team or purple-team work, vulnerability remediation, or secure AI integrations. - Consulting or other direct customer delivery experience; experience in demanding security environments.
