About this role
Role overview Build the internal platforms and professional tools that support AI-assisted media production and model improvement. Depending on your focus, you could develop a data labeling and evaluation platform, backend services for production workflows, or an editing application; the work spans system reliability and user-facing tools, with ownership from design through operation.
Responsibilities - Build and operate production systems that support managed media workflows and collaboration between AI tools and human specialists. - Develop task editors, evaluation tools, metrics, and safeguards for data labeling workflows, or contribute to the core production engine or editing platform. - Improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of internal platforms, workflow engines, and data pipelines. - Move between creating new tools and strengthening the infrastructure those tools depend on. - Take ownership of a defined area and lead projects as appropriate.
Requirements - Strong backend engineering experience and a record of shipping and operating production systems end to end. - Experience building reliable, scalable systems such as internal platforms, workflow or task engines, or data pipelines. - Able to work across backend systems and full-stack interfaces, including designing UI systems; Rust or functional programming experience is relevant. - Comfortable defining and defending technical approaches while also handling practical maintenance and operational work.
Nice to have - Experience building editor-focused or UI-heavy professional tools, with understanding of the systems beneath them. - Background in data labeling, annotation platforms, or coordinating crowdsourced work.
