Role overview Join the engineering team building consumer and enterprise products on top of cutting-edge AI voice models. The position is back-end leaning with flexibility to contribute across the platform, supporting infrastructure that serves millions of users. The environment is remote-first with a high-velocity, AI-first culture that values impact over titles.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain the platform layered on top of production voice models, ensuring reliability and performance at scale. - Improve existing products by adding significant functionality and integrating with common third-party consumer and enterprise solutions. - Strengthen internal infrastructure to keep products live, performant, and secure as usage grows. - Collaborate closely with frontend, growth, and sales engineers to understand customer needs and design end-to-end solutions. - Apply sound system design, testing, and security practices to new and existing services.
Requirements - Strong expertise in Python and a solid background in backend development. - Familiarity with common software and system design patterns, including APIs, cloud infrastructure, storage, and core data structures. - Working knowledge of test design and security fundamentals. - Demonstrated ability to solve hard problems, evidenced through past projects, open-source work, or other artifacts. - No formal degree or certification required.
Nice to have - Experience with Kubernetes in production environments. - Experience integrating payment processors such as Stripe. - Basic understanding of how AI/ML models are trained and served.
