Role overview A forward-deployed software engineering role embedded directly with strategic client teams to design, build, and deliver tailored integrations of advanced AI audio and conversational technologies. The position blends hands-on coding, solution architecture, and customer partnership, owning complex projects end-to-end and shaping both product features and technical approaches that push the boundaries of voice and multimodal AI applications.
Responsibilities - Take full ownership of major client projects from scoping through delivery, working hands-on to ship high-impact technical solutions - Partner daily with customer engineering and leadership teams to ensure the underlying AI platform is configured and integrated for each use case - Design and build full-scale integrations, contributing to system architecture decisions and new product feature ideas - Solve complex technical problems using strong coding skills, turning ambiguous customer needs into working, production-ready systems - Travel regularly to customer sites for workshops, onsites, and stakeholder alignment
Requirements - Some prior experience working with customers in a technical capacity, including student clubs, hackathons, or side projects that involved direct client collaboration - Proficiency in Python plus strong general software engineering fundamentals, including software architecture and API integration - Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, and how to design reliable, scalable services around them - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives - Comfort working autonomously on ambiguous, high-stakes problems where impact matters more than title
Nice to have - Experience with audio, speech, or conversational AI systems - Background contributing to developer-facing products, SDKs, or platform APIs - Prior exposure to fast-paced, research-driven or startup-style environments
