Forward Deployed Engineer - Software Engineer - Mexico

Role overview

This Forward Deployed Engineer position places a hands-on software engineer directly with strategic customers to design and deliver tailored AI audio and voice solutions. The role blends full-stack engineering with customer-facing problem solving, working embedded on high-impact projects from architecture brainstorming through to large-scale integration. It is a remote role based in Mexico (Mexico City preferred) with regular travel for customer onsites.

Responsibilities

- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery on major technical projects for strategic partners, from initial scoping through production deployment - Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and executives to translate business needs into effective AI-driven implementations - Design and build custom integrations, prototypes, and reference architectures that extend platform capabilities - Apply strong coding skills to tackle complex integration, performance, and product challenges - Feed insights from customer engagements back into internal product and engineering roadmaps

Requirements

- Some prior experience working with customers in a technical capacity, including through side projects, internships, or student organizations - Strong proficiency in Python, with solid grounding in software architecture, API integration, and modern development practices - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences - Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a logical approach to weighing trade-offs - Fluency in both English and Spanish, plus strong awareness of regional and cultural context - Residing in Mexico, with a preference for Mexico City and willingness to travel regularly for customer onsites
